Because of mysql settings I spent more then 4 hours trying to figure out why it wasn't installing. None-the-less I finally got it going... All that PHP looks complicated! Geezzz...

No hombe! entre Annush, Bracuta y Gabemaster... esta semana fue entretenida... haha... and thats the least to say... en mi opinion el hombre "serio" que se besa es un maricon frustado y un mamaguebo... A el unico hombre que yo le doy un beso en la mejilla es a mi papa. Y eso lo ago por respeto a el. A Annush le jodieron la mente con eso "Besos" y como a Bracuta le gusta su hombre con un lado flojo... buenas suerte. Annush don't take it so personal, we don't live in those regions where it is acceptable to kiss every time we greet a man... I'm sure your friends would not do what they did in your apartment in the public eye... However, if they did, they may do so simply because they would get a kick out of peoples reaction... not because it is part of thier "being"...

A Rare Moment

This was a rare moment in the kitchen at about 7:30 in the morning. I was walking out of the house, on my way to work, and my parents were already up... They normally sleep in till late but since they were going on a "field trip" to PA they got up early... ok... well as I walked out... dije Bendicion Mami/Papi... and with a smile on thier face they said.. "Hey! Be a Good Boy Today"... haha... I chuckled and stepped out the house... None-the-less it was a rare moment indeed because my parents ussually put up a Front when they want to show feelings of affection... this being one of them... hehe...

A Cut Above

Mama Mia! my first broadway show... an excelent play based on a true story... I had never been to a "Broadway Show" until I got the urge to purchase tickets to a play that I could enjoy with the company of a beautiful young lady... Now lately I've been getting the urge to check out a comedy show at Carolines or Comic Strip Live here in NYC. I'm going to save that decision for the end of the month/begining of May since I have a few people that I'd like to invite...

A Sigh Of Relief

These last two weeks I have been put into "sink or swim" sittuations and so far I've managed to keep my head above waters... I finished my first "Project" this week with the help of a few great co-workers. It has certainly been more then I bargained for. Tomorrow we have a programmer that "knows his stuff" to help us program on a machine. I will also be there to pick up on little things here and there which is part of the learning expirience. It's a great feeling when things work out the way they should and especially when you have a hunch about something and it all turns out to be as you expected...

Dominican Times Magazine #2...

Last night I hit the streets of NYC and stopped by the Dominican Times Magazine April Release Party at the Ambar Room. This was the second Release Party for Dominican Times Magazine that I attend and as always it was a pleasure to be there. Las Chicas De Bonches Sociales, Angie Jerez, Ingrid, Sandy Reyes, Ana Russel, Rafael Jimenez, and featured actor Manny Perez were amoungst the "minglers". We all shared great conversations and mingled with the crowd for over 4 hours. There were a number of well known people who I also got a chance to meet, something that doesn't happen everyday for some of us... I had a great time last night and I hope that the success that the Dominican Times Magazine has had over the last 4-5 years continues to grow. Now, did you know that Las Chicas De Bonches Sociales were featured in February's Issue? And did you know that Ingrid is a free-lance writter for DTM? Felicidades a las dos por lograr eso y espero leer/conocer mucho mas de todos ustedes por ahi... till next time...

Spring Training

Track season is well underway and since I am a fanatic of the sport, I have also started my never ending persuit of that four minute mile. My best mile is 4:16 and that was a gruesome expirience. Your arms get tired, your legs are num and jigglely, your mouth get dry with a light taste of blood, and your mindset is simply to get as close to that four minute mark without coming to a hault 10M before the finish line. Thats just a mile... half miles are a bit more complicated. You start off at a steady pace, once you pass the 200 M mark, you begin to pick up speed because you want to match the same time as your first 200M. The first 100M of the second lap you keep the same pace because you either don't want to loose position or you want to pull ahead from the slow pokes. Once you pass the 500M mark you begin to pickup the pace. Even if you don't have it in you, you have to keep up! 600M mark you begin your Sprint for the finish! If you don't pull away from the crowd at this point there is no telling what will happen 50M from the finish line... my best 800M was 1:56... and I pulled away from my "competition" at the 100M mark... and although I've had some good races, that was my best race because I felt this guy breathing down my neck the entire race and I pulled away at the very end to win the race in front of his home crowd that was chearing him on as I sprinted right past him.

I Need A Vacation!

I briefly watch the "American Media" to catch up on whats happening around the world... but as I've been told and as I believe, the American Media is manipulated by the government and therefor stories are misconseptions of a few politicians wanting to persuade the American viewers... I also believe kids are more creative when they do not watch any TV at all. They should be able to concieve thier own beliefs based on thier readings and personal expiriences. Unfortunately, I have not had the oportunity to travel the world and know what it is like to live in Dominican Republic none-the-less Asia, Europe, Africa, etc... I'm simply having a hard time believing anyone at all without having expirienced the things that I am told or the things that I have read. Brazil, The Great Wall of China, Arizona, riding an Elephant in the jungles of the Africa... etc...

Una Gata Siamese que nos encontramos en el Bronx... Eso hace ya mas de 12 años... Estaba con mi papa y salia del trabajo un Sabado, cuando nos encontramos con la gata, muy simpatica por sierto... Se metio al carro y yo feliz con mi nueva gata...

2) ¿ Y el peor?(Vale incluir todo tipo de ratas humanas.)

eah... Un dia mi papa, fanatico de Doberman Pinchers, trajo un Monstro de Doberman Pincher a la casa disque para que nos conosieran... he got to know me alright... yo corriendo y el maldito perro agarrao de mi jacket...

Quisiera agradecer a todos nuestros miembros y seguidores de nuestro Webring de Blogs Dominicano. Al fin de este mes vamos a lanzar nuestra pagina official. A New Chapter Begins...

Tomorrow I head into work and I am going to be challenged in all aspects of my major (well not in all, but in a few :)... My supervisor has moved onto another job and I am now taking over all of the electical engineering and programming aspects of the current projects we have... I think it's a great opportunity, not to mention Job Security... I've been working there for about 4 months and it is certainly a move in the right direction as far as expirience, challenges, and responsibilities are concerned. Wish me luck :)

Dia De Luto En La Iglesia

La muerte del Papa John Paul II es algo que vamos a tener que analizar en nuestro curso de la vida... El Dia de Luto en la Iglesia... Ironicamente tambien es un Sabado... Pope John Paul II es un simbulo muy grande y para mi es imposible lluegar a una conclucion de lo que significa su vida y su muerte... Algo que ojala con el tiempo ire entendiendo poco a poco...

El sábado santo, día del descanso en el sepulcro, es realmente día alitúrgico (sin
celebraciones de ningún tipo), pues no tiene misa ni comunión; si se prescinde de la vigilia pascual, sólo queda para la liturgia de este día el rezo de las horas.

Es este un día de luto para la Iglesia pues Cristo el Señor ha muerto, pero a la vez es un día de esperanza en la resurrección.

Acompañemos en el silencio del sepulcro a Jesús. Acompañemos en el silencio del dolor a María y a los apóstoles. Es el día de la reflexión antes de la gran pascua por la resurrección del Salvador.

Es el día en que cada uno de nosotros, juntamente con toda la Iglesia, meditemos los grandes misterios hasta ahora vividos; oración profunda que debe llevarnos hacia un cambio radical en nuestras vidas. Los apóstoles se habían reunido en un lugar aparte para asimilar la muerte del Maestro, pero ellos no quedaron en "la muerte", esperaban "algo más", ese algo que Cristo a lo largo de su vida pública había anunciado.

Bueno, tuve que pornerme en "motion" con el nuevo look... Cuando visite la pagina de Remolacha.net ahi fue que cai en cuenta que las posiblidades de ganarme un billete de $100 tururuas era una indicacion de que me tenia que pelar! But nah... after I shot that picture I headed to the Barber Shop to seek help... haha...

Then and Now...

Back then... I remember living in an apt where my older sister and I slept in the same Twin Size Bed because that was all we could afford, I remember being dropped off in a Submarine Yellow 1977 Volkswagon Beetle until 1992, I remember the rotted floors in the back of that same Beetle as we drove into NYC to visit my grandmother on 175 st, I remember wearing one pair of jeans beacuase we couldn't afford another, I remember going to Pay Less Shoes for all of my shoes and sneakers, I remember going to the Thrift Shop with my Mom to buy our clothes, I remember seeing my father for 30 minutes a day because he was at work the rest of the day, I remember not having a New Bike until I was 8 years old, I remember my first pair of Jordans... I remember going to DR and using the "Letrina", I remember grabbing the chickens by the head, I remember using a can of Cafe Bustelo full of water while brushing my teeth in my grandparents home back in DR '86, I remember having the PLASTIC COVERS that can be found in almost every Dominican Home to "Protect the Couch from getting dirty", In 1999, I remember going 2 weeks with 15 dollars in my pocket... From those 15 bucks I had to debate wether or not I would attend classes, which also included a Bus Fair of $2.10 round trip from Hackensack to Newark at 8 in the morning each day, Not eat Lunch and return home at 5pm... OR stay home and avoid spending those precious 15 dollars... ofcourse I went to school and "got my learn on"... I was the Hungriest Bastard, litterally in every sense of the word...

Now... I live a moderate life, I have no bad habbits, I live a comfortable life, I eat three times a day, I am the only Boy in my immediate family, I own a Fully Restored Submarine Yellow 1973 VW Beetle, I only have Work Related Stress, When I arrive at a family function everyone seems to spark up thier attitude because they see me there, I am a Role Model in my immediate circle of friends and family, to get where I am has been a lot of hard work, and hardship... I want more, I won't stop till I have more, the need to further persue my hunger is everlasting, Although I Live in Jersey, I also live in the City the Never Sleeps, I always wear Shoes, Dress Pants and a Collard Shirt when I go out, I wear my jeans and dress pants Waist High, I take Nothing for granted, I am punctual, I consider myself responsible, I am not self centered, I do not know everything, I am Passive Aggressive, I wear what I can afford, I consider myself a humble person, I don't consider myself special in anyway...
